Spiritual Festival  -- Parking

The Church Parking Lot is especially reserved for our Senior Parishioners and those have handicaps or experience trouble walking.  Volunteers will be present and will assist you in parking.  Shuttles will be available for those who had difficulty walking.   Most parishioners are encouraged to park in the over 800 parking spaces available north, south, east, and west of the Church.  Sibley Street offers many available spots both on the streets itself and in the many public lots up and down the street.  Here are some suggestions for parking.

1)       Try to arrive by 9 AM!!!  There is plenty of parking around the area, but we want to have everyone join a procession at 9:30 AM.  Give yourself at least 15 minutes or more to park and walk to the Church.

2)       South of the Church -- Parking on Fowler Street South of Livingston St

There are over 90 parking spaces on Fowler St. and at the end on Warbler Way.  These parking spaces are a short distance from the ball field and Tent where the main events will be held.  Additionally, one may park in the Hospice Lot at the end of Fowler.  There are about 45 spaces in the lot!

3)       West of the Church --  Parking on Washington Street East of the Church up to Michigan Ave

There are over 80 parking spaces along Washington Street and on the side streets of Barnard, and McCarthy.  You are able to park on the street itself, in the Chamber of Commerce Lots (14 spaces), in the Lot off of Crane right behind the Post Office (22 spaces) with a side walk to Washington.

4)       West of the Church on Sibley – Many Public Lots

There are many public parking Lots on Sibley Street a few blocks West of the Church all the way up to Michigan Ave.  Public Parking Lots 1, 9, and 7 have over 130 spaces total, and First National Bank Lots hold 88 spaces. Across Michigan Ave are additional Public Lots totaling 90 spaces.  Additionally you are permitted to park on Sibley street itself as well as the side streets that intersect with Grand River Ave.  Street parking gives an additional 40 spaces.

5)       North of the Church  --  Public Lot near City Police and City Offices

There is a large city Lot that we are allowed to park in directly across from the Church on Sibley.  The Police Station and City Offices and a Bank use the space during week days, but weekends are open and we have permission to use the lot.  There are 108 Spaces here!  This lot is the shortest distance from the Church.  Additionally, there are over 70 parking spaces along Sibley and the side streets.  One can park on both sides of Sibley.

6)       East of the Church --  Many Lots East of the Church!!!

The are some big lots east of the Church.  The first and most recommended one is the lot in South East Elementary School.  There are 100 spaces and the sidewalk leads one down Washington St. directly into St Joseph Church campus.  There are also a few additional lots next to South East Elementary off of Sibley.  The furthest one down would be the Lot in front of the Secretary of State Office.  These additional lots give well over 250 spaces, and are only about a 7 minute walk to St Joseph Church.
